NOTES
(by DuoItalian)
Most adjectives are used with the Italian verb essere, as shown below (along with some BONUS adjectives not covered in Duolingo):
- sono arrabbiato (I’m angry)
- sono arrogante (I’m arrogant)
- sono coraggioso (I’m brave)
- sono pigro (I’m lazy)
- sono studioso (I’m studious)
- sono timido (I’m shy)
TIPS: The Italian noun vicino (neighbor) was introduced earlier in the People lesson. Here we encounter an adjective of the same name, meaning “to be near or close”.
Be aware that legale (legal) is a second class adjective. This means that it takes -e in both masculine and feminine singular forms, and -i in both plural forms.
